Combined Therapy of Low Dose-Aspirin Plus Low Molecular Weight Heparin in Women with Recurrent Unexplained Miscarriage: A Randomized Controlled Study
نویسنده
چکیده
Background: Both Heparin and aspirin are used in management of recurrent unexplained miscarriage with the aim to improve the live birth rate and reduce the pregnancy complication. Methods: This is controlled randomized study we enrolled 100 patients with history of recurrent unexplained miscarriage 10 of them have positive anticardiolipin and lupus anticoagulant. Patients were classified into two groups: Group A took low-dose of aspirin plus low molecular weight heparin and group B with no treatment. Results: The live birth rate did not differ significantly between the two groups. The live birth rate was 74% in group A and 62% in group B. The rate of miscarriage in group A 26,7% versus 33,3% in group B. The preterm delivery was 10.5% in group A versus 29% in group B. The incidence of IUFD was 5.3% in group A versus 12.9% in group B. As regard IUGR the incidence was 5.3% in group A versus 19.4% in group B. Conclusion: The use of aspirin plus heparin did not significantly increase the live birth rate in women with recurrent unexplained miscarriage.

Aspirin plus heparin or aspirin alone in women with recurrent miscarriage.
BACKGROUND Aspirin and low-molecular-weight heparin are prescribed for women with unexplained recurrent miscarriage, with the goal of improving the rate of live births, but limited data from randomized, controlled trials are available to support the use of these drugs. METHODS In this randomized trial, we enrolled 364 women between the ages of 18 and 42 years who had a history of unexplained ...
متن کاملEnoxaparin for prevention of unexplained recurrent miscarriage: a multicenter randomized double-blind placebo-controlled trial.
It is common practice in many centers to offer antithrombotic medications to women with unexplained recurrent miscarriage, in the presence or absence of inherited thrombophilia. Although no benefit of aspirin vs placebo has been clearly demonstrated, a double-blind placebo-controlled trial on the effect of low-molecular-weight heparin is lacking. We enrolled 258 pregnant women with a history of...

OBJECTIVE To estimate the impact of adding low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH) or unfractionated heparin to low-dose aspirin started ≤ 16 weeks' gestation on the prevalence of pre-eclampsia (PE) and the delivery of a small-for-gestational-age (SGA) neonate. METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials (RCTs) was performed by searching the medical databases Pub...
متن کاملEfficacy of Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, alone or in combination with low dose aspirin, in the improvement of uterine blood flow in women with history of recurrent miscarriage: A prospective, randomized, clinical trial.
Background & Objectives: Recurrent miscarriage (RM) occurs in some women. There is much evidence that increased uterine blood flow resistance (reduced uterine perfusion) increases the risk of RM. This study was aimed at evaluating the efficacy of Omega 3-6-9 fatty acids, alone or in combination with aspirin, in the reduction of uterine blood flow resistance in women with a history of RM. Metho...

Background: The objective of this study is to evaluate whether low-dose aspirin affects doppler sonographic parameters of the uterine arteries, endometrial thickness and pregnancy rate of women undergoing frozen-thawed embryo transfer cycles. Materials and Methods: This randomized, double- blind, placebo-controlled trial study was conducted between April 2012, and March 2013. A total of 60 elig...
